These paintings were completed after two very inspiring trips to the Azores in November of 2021 and in April of 2022. We explored Pico, Sao Jorge, and Faial Islands, as well as making a circuit of Sao Miguel. The moody weather, enthusiastic vegetation, rough stone houses, and omnipresent volcanic cones all generated wonderful compositions. 

 

I am very excited that from June 23rd to August 6th, there will be a public exhibit of twenty three of these paintings at the Narrows Center for the Arts Cafe Gallery . The Gallery is open to the public Thursday through Sunday Noon to 5PM, as well as to concert goers in the evening.
