WALKING THE CAMINO SANTIAGO & ST CUTHBERT'S WAY
These paintings are being shown at the Gallery at Central Congregational Church in Providence, RI until Febrary 5th, 2025. My "Pilgrim Steps" series explores images from the Camino Santiago and St Cuthberts Way. All are welcome!
The Gallery is open for viewing by family and friends from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday (and Sundays from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm). The Gallery is not open on Saturdays. Please use the Diman Place door, as the Angell St. door may not be open.

The images explore my personal experience in paint, seeing what parts of the landscape contribute to my spiritual journey. And what gave rise to the to the peace and deep heart stirrings I felt at the completion of the pilgrimage?
-
Visually, you were alive to the changing light and weather.
-
The walking pace was slow enough to be present to the history of the Pilgrimage landscape. You identify with all the travelers throughout time who had walked the route.
-
Physically, you noticed the hills in your knees or back, or in your thirst and weariness.
-
Sometimes you could look ahead to see where you were heading. Other times, surprises awaited at every turn. The unfolding process was a delight.
-
Moving in parallel to everyone on the path seemed to align tangled emotions inside me.
-
Everyone around me shared a common objective.
-
The trip briefly simplified my existence and rewarded me for it.
